Why I didn't pass my final English test

I didn't pass the final test for my English subject. I've gotten a bad mark for this subject. I think I got a 7 or something. That's bad! Below 8 is considered pretty bad in my school. And actually, this post is actually like a make up test for my bad mark in English.

I've been thinking about some reasons why I failed. And I came up with three reasons! So here's the first reason, I didn't re-checked my answers. I didn't do that because I felt confident enough for my answers. The 2nd one is probably because I didn't really study. I was busy with stuffs... I regret it now. And for the 3rd reason, I didn't concentrate on working in the problems. So it's all my fault on why I failed.

Now I want to say sorry to my English teacher, Mr. Arifin, I'm sorry that I didn't pass the test because of my recklessness. I'll do my best for the next exams! I'm sorry once again and thank you for reading this.

Naughty Kids, or Stupid Me?

It was Saturday when that embarrassing thing happened to me.

It was a bright morning when I walked out from my doorstep. The sun shone brightly but the temperature wasn't hot, rather it felt refreshing.

I decided to go to a park nearby.

There weren't a lot of people when I arrived at the park.

I saw 4 kids standing on a sand box. They were surrounding something. My curiousity won over me so I made my way near them.

There was something burried under the sand and it was quite big.

My ears perked up from hearing those kids saying stuffs about bombs and explosions.

I panicked, what if the thing that was burried under the sand was a bomb?!

I called some polices over to investigate the park. They arrived shortly after my call.

I led them to the mentioned spot and my eyes widened seeing the kids already dug out the sand.

And I got surprised again that the thing that was burried was only a toy truck.

"Oh! Look! I took out the bomb! I saved the earth!" A boy yelled as he lifted up the supposed 'bomb'.

I tensed up after hearing a cough from the police officer beside me.

"We really shouldn't easily believe kids..." And with that the officers went back to their head quarters.

I felt so stupid but those kids were also so naughty!!!!

The Lost Money for Birthday's Dress

It was the afternoon when me and Tsubasa was walking around the Department Store to bought some dress for Mariko's Birthday Party next week. We still haven't found the dress that suited for us, so we decided to search the dress in other Department Store.

We walked along the street then suddenly Tsubasa stopped walking in front of me. Before I can ask my twin sister, she quickly hold my hand and run to some direction. We stopped and both of us panting hard. I protested to Tsubasa for sudden running because my lack of stamina. Tsubasa apologized to me and before I'm asking her reason, she bent down her body and pick up something that might caused her stop her walk before. Surprisingly, it was 10.000 yen money. Tsubasa stand up and give the money to me.

"Hold it and stay," said Tsubasa. "Just wait until you got my mail and catch up." After that, Tsubasa run again and left me with the money.

Several minutes later, I got mail from Tsubasa and quickly went to Police Station that mentioned in Tsubasa's mail with the money.

I arrived at the station and go in. In there, I saw Tsubasa along with the police officer and surprisingly, there was Shizuka, another friend of mine and Tsubasa. Tsubasa told me that Shizuka lost her money when she checking out the store to search dress for Mariko's Birthday Party, like us. I gave the money to Shizuka who gladly and gratefull to receive it and give a thank you to me and Tsubasa.

After went out the station with Tsubasa and Shizuka, we decided to searching dress for Mariko's Birthday Party together. I wonder, if Tsubasa hadn't found Shizuka's money, what would Shizuka do?

The Fallen Money

Last holiday, I was going nowhere, only staying at home. I certainly felt bored, so awful. One day, my mom told me to buy some grocery stuffs. The grocery store was quite close with my house, so I didn’t have to take a motorcycle to go there. In fact, I really wanted to go for a stroll. My mom gave me some money and then I went to the grocery store for shopping.

In the middle of my journey, I felt like I stepped at something. “What is this?” I said, rocking the ground uncomfortably. Then I looked down—I found a pack of money on the ground! I thought it was about Rp1,500,000.00, what a big amount of money! I wondered whose money was that. In order to keep it safe, I put it in my wallet alongside with the money my mom gave to me.

Suddenly, a man was walking towards me. “Do not expect to own that money, you little thief!” he yelled. I finally knew whose money it was—but he seemed like he suspected me taking his money.

“You expecting me as a thief?” I asked.

“Yes, you just put my money to your wallet! Isn’t that stealing? I’ll call the police!” said the man, grabbing his cellphone. I thought he tried to threaten me.

“Wait! I found this on the ground while I was going to the grocery store. I put the money in the wallet because I just want to keep it safe and I can try to find the owner of this pack of money later. Well… And I think this money belongs to you.”

The man accepted his money I gave, and put it in his wallet. “Sorry to misunderstand you, dear. I have to go. I’m in hurry,” said the man and immediately went away, even without saying thank you. I realized that he was very busy on that time. Okay, never mind. I then walked to the grocery store and bought the stuffs. Surprisingly, I saw that man again inside the store! I thought he was busy! What the…?!

Wrong Robber

Yesterday, I was strolling around the town. I felt so bored. I had finished my homework and i had practiced math for tomorrow exam. I had noting to do.

After some minutes walking, I finaly knew where should i go. Yes! Bookstore. So, I went to the bookstore to search a novel that I had not found since three months ago. But I don't know where the nearest bookstore was. I really wanted that book. So, I planned to ask the shopkeeper across the road. She knows all about this town!

Suddenly, a man with a scar on his cheek ran and threw a bag toward me. Then, a group of people were standing over me and they took me to the police office. I was so panicked and confused. I didn't know what will happen next.

Then, an old lady came to me and asked 'why did you rob my bag, lil girl?'. So, I explained what happened. The police trusted me. It was a miracle! It's not that easy to trust someone that we don't know. Indeed, they ask me to find the robber. It was because I'm the only one who saw his face closely. But I couldn't help them. My mom told me to go home earlier, before 6PM. But it was already 5.30PM. So, I asked for pardon and went home quietly.

Treasures, Are They Real?

I was lazily watching TV while eating my snacks. There were no channel that got my interest so I kept on changing channels here and there.

Then one news finally caught my attention,

'Old Man Found a Treasure Chest In The Nearby Beach.'

I literally jumped on my seat as I read the headline. What? An old man found a treasure?! He's so lucky!

I watched the news attentively as the reporters asked the old man about how did he find it.

"I was watching some cartoons and I got inspired after seeing the characters found treasures so I went to a nearby beach with my shovel and I dug out the sand. The life-guard scolded me but I kept on digging until, yea, I finally found this treasure."

I envied this old man but same with him, I got inspired. I shortly headed to the back-yard where my dad placed his shovel and his metal detector.

With big grin on my face, I happily made my way to a beach near my house.

--------

As I arrived there, I saw so many people with shovels and metal detectors. Maybe all of them watched the news too.

But I kept it in my head that I won't give up and lose from them so I went to an empty spot and switched on the metal detectors.

---------

I've been searching for 3 hours but what I found were trashes like soda cans and stuff.

I looked around my surrounding and everyone were already tired like me.

Slowly, each one of then went home with a frown on their faces. I was hopeless too, but I was eager to be rich so I kept on searching and searching.

------

I was the only one left and it was already dark. I lost my hope and headed home with a heavy heart.

I knocked on my door and my mom was standing behind it with her knuckles placed beside her hips. Oh no, she's mad.

-------

I received a long sermon that night, from my dad and mom. I felt very stupid believing that finding treasure is as easy as flipping your hands.

Maybe that old man used all his fortunes to find that treasure chest.

Our Intelligences

Aditya MZ:

I think I've got good body intelligence because I'm good enough at playing soccer, badminton and volleyball. At school, my best subject is sport. I enjoy doing that subject. And then in my free times, I sometimes stream youtube with my friends.

I'm not very good at math, it's difficult for me to calculate numbers with limited time and to memorize the formulas.

When I finish school, I'd like to be an athlete. I think i could be good at this job because I am good at sport and I like playing soccer, badminton, volleyball etc. without needing to calculate numbers and memorizing formulas.

Azzahra Putri H:

I've got a good visual intelligence, I think. Because I enjoy drawing, or designing something. Oh, I also enjoy writing stories and publish them on the internet. So I think I have a good verbal intelligence too. At school, my favourite subject is English. I like to memorise new words and learn to talk with my friends from other countries, so perhaps my verbal intelligence is more dominant than my visual one.

I'm not good at calculating, I often get wrong calculations and sometimed get a bad mark at Math subject. But I like solving math problems, and I'm gonna improve my calculation so I won't get a bad mark ever again.

I want to become an author. I think I can make it because my writing skill is pretty good and my story in the web got good comments and some critics to help me improving my skill. And authors don't need calculations!

Jasmine Ismiranty:

I think I'm good at musical intelligence. It's because I can play piano quite well and I like to sing. Everywhere I go, I always listen to music and sing the song that I hear all alone. I can memorize the lyrics of the song easily. I prefer study with music on than study without music. Many people say that with studying with hearing musics makes us enjoy to study the subjects. Probably, I become more serious. Most of all, I love music.

I'm not good at body intelligence, maybe. Even though I like to play basketball, I really don't like to get sweating. My friends say I'm the type of a person who doesn't like to move or usually called as 'mager'.

When I grow up, I would like to be a dentist or doctor. They don't have a relationship with music. But I like to help people and socialize with many people who have many life backgrounds. From that job, I'll learn many things that I don't know.

Muhammad Reza

I think I'm good at verbal intelligence.for instance, I can identify and differentiate any grammars in the text, and I'm good at pronounciate it. I can also write good articles. At school, my favorite subjects are math and english. I can solve many problems in math, but I can't solve all, Loke the trigonometry ones. I'm also giod at history and geography.

My friends say that my drawings and pantings aren't good. That's why I don't like drawing, my imagination is not as good as the ones who like drawing. I'm also bad at biology, well, not all. I can't memorise nature explorer, just like Dora.

When I finish college, I'd like to be an embassy or a foreign minister in a certain country. I like to explore many countries. I want to expand international communication in Indonesia. That's why I like to learn about history and geography. An embassy needs to have a good language skills. I think I'm good at that.

Nadiyah Dzakirah:

I think I've got good verbal intelligence. I like to learn new languages because it's quite fun for me. I want to have many friends outside my country and I think learning languages is the best for that. My friends also say tht I'm goot at drawing, hence the visual intelligence. But I don't think so, because I only know to draw male's face and not the body nor I can draw girls!

I don't like math. I often get confused by its formulas and numbers. And I can't memorise the formulas easily. If thr teacher is teaching, I understand but when I'm working at the problems that the teacher just taught us, I'm completely lost.

Because I'm good at verbal intelligence, I'm thinking of becoming an author. Because I've tried writing stories and I've got good responses by the readers and the feeling of having someone who likes your story is so good! I feel over-joyed by that hehehe. But I don't really know because my dreams keep on changing. One time I want to be a teacher, then a president. Oh well, I'm still young so it's okay to keep on dreaming, right?
